MAXILLA DENTAL CLINIC – reliable dental care since 1989
Maxilla Dental Clinic opened its doors on February 14, 1989 in Elva, being one of the first private dental clinics in Estonia.
Our journey started from a small dental office, but today we have grown into one of the leading dental care chains in Estonia, already celebrating 36 years of operation.
Care and professionalism throughout the years

From the first day, our dental clinics have been staffed by highly qualified doctors and medical professionals with special education, whose common goal is to keep patients’ smiles healthy and bright.
Over the years, we have continuously expanded to be closer to patients and provide top-notch dental care in a variety of locations.
Growth and expansion to Tartu and Tallinn
We started with one office in Elva, where the founder of the company, Mari-Ann Abel, started receiving patients. After some time, professor Edvitar Leibur and Dr. Aino Viljar joined him.
The number of patients also increased constantly, which is why we opened our first clinic in Tartu in 1993. Initially, it was located on Kalda road, where there were two offices. Over time, new premises were added on Forselius and Vanemuise streets, each with two additional offices. In 1998, we moved to our current location on Soola Street, where we originally had four offices, but already a year later we had nine.
In parallel with the consolidation of the Tartu clinics, it was also carried out in Tallinn. The first Tallinn clinic was opened in 1998. To date, this department has been offering high-quality dental care since 2016 in the modern and spacious premises of the Novira Plaza business building.
In 2021, we opened a second clinic in the heart of Tallinn in the Rotermann quarter. After a year, we expanded to Tähesaju street in Lasnamäe. In Tähesaju Maxilla, we also created a new children’s dental office in Estonia, designed specifically for the smallest of the family. A friendly atmosphere, colorful cartoon characters on the walls and doctors experienced in dealing with children help to make a visit to the dentist pleasant and safe.
The newest clinic in Mustamäe
The newest Maxilla clinic opened its doors in June 2023 in Mustamäe. This state-of-the-art dental clinic is equipped with ten fully equipped treatment rooms to ensure a comfortable and professional treatment experience for every patient.
Today, Maxilla has a total of six clinics – one in Elva, one in Tartu and four in Tallinn. All clinics are equipped with the latest technology and high-quality materials to provide the best possible dental care.
In addition, Maxilla Dental Clinic has an agreement with the Estonian Health Insurance Fund, which allows providing services with a discount from the Health Insurance Fund.
Maxilla has grown with its patients, and our goal is to continue providing high-quality and reliable dental care in the future.
